The battle against bovine tuberculosis (TB) in England is entering a new phase, with a focus on cattle vaccination and a phased end to badger culling. This strategy, developed by a diverse group of experts, aims to eradicate TB by 2038, marking a significant shift in approach. While the cull has been highly divisive, with over 250,000 badgers killed at a cost of £60 million, the new plan acknowledges the limited impact of this method.
